Ericsson has announced the 20 finalists of the Ericsson Internet Community Award (ERICA) programme, a global programme designed to encourage non-profit and charitable organisations to use Internet technology as a vehicle for social change.

Ericsson has announced the 20 finalists of the Ericsson Internet Community Award (ERICA) programme, a global programme designed to encourage non-profit and charitable organisations to use Internet technology as a vehicle for social change.

The 20 finalists were selected based on their applications for innovative and feasible ways to use Internet technology to further their cause.

Ericsson also announced the People’s Choice portion of the ERICA program. This is an opportunity for the general public to vote and provide feedback on their favorite ERICA finalist. The voting continues until 29 September 2000 on the ERICA web-site.
