Venture philanthropy promoted in the UK
The School for Social Entrepreneurs is working to promote venture philanthropy in the UK.
The School for Social Entrepreneurs is working with fundraising consultants Oxford Philanthropic to promote venture philanthropy in the UK. The school was established in 1997 to identify and encourage entrepreneurial capacity amongst individuals and organisations working for public benefit. They run year-long action learning programmes, based around a real life project/organisation that students are trying to establish, and supported by study periods, action learning sets and dispersed learning via the Internet. They run an annual National Programme from their headquarters in Bethnal Green, and local programmes funded by Millennium Awards.
