PayPal – the way forward for online donations?

Online billing company PayPal could prove a useful alternative to online credit card donations.

US online billing company PayPal offers exciting possibilities for online donations. PayPal lets you send money safely to anyone or any organisation with an e-mail address. It lets you accept payments by credit card even if you don’t have a merchant account. Of most interest to charities is the fact that PayPal is free: there are no fees paid by the buyer or seller. It is for US citizens only at present but it has plans to expand internationally.
