Charities' use of technology 'patchy'

Howard Lake | 27 April 1997 | News

Charities are slow to adopt technology to help improve their communications, according to a new report by CAF.

A new report by Charities Aid Foundation has found that charities are not using technology effectively and extensively to help improve their communications. The survey, Keeping Posted, found that although 48% of the 300 organisations polled thought that new technology would be important for future communications, only 17% reported that is was used extensively in their organisation.

Ninety five per cent had their own PC, and 32% used e-mail.
