From a fund for small-medium sized charities and CICs supporting young people into employment to one offering grants for projects supporting the Armed Forces community through the winter, here’s news of some current funding opportunities.

Berkeley Foundation’s new Resilience Fund open for applications

The Berkeley Foundation has launched its Resilience Fund, representing a £900,000 investment in strengthening the voluntary sector over the next four years.

The Fund will provide support for local and grassroots charities to invest in their ability to anticipate, prepare for, respond and adapt to challenge, building resilience for the future.

In its first year, the fund will target building resilience in organisations working to enable young people, aged 16-25, to overcome barriers to work and kick-start their careers.

Eligible organisations can apply for up to £30,000 over two years. The funding will run alongside a learning and evaluation programme, focused on highlighting best practice and supporting peer learning. Where there is an alignment of skills and needs, successful applicants will be able to access pro bono support, mentoring and additional resources from the Berkeley Foundation and the wider Berkeley Group.

The Fund is currently open for applications until 6 February 2022. More information is available on the Berkeley Foundation site and all applications must be made through its online application form.

The Foundation offers grants of up to £30,000 to cover every aspect of social care including homelessness, employability, poverty, disability, welfare issues, mental health, marriage guidance, care during old age and confidence building.

Bursaries available for Nordoff Robbins Master of Music Therapy programme

Nordoff Robbins, together with Sony Music UK, is offering two bursaries for its two-year Master of Music Therapy programme.

Applications are now open for the September 2022 bursaries in London, worth £10,000 each, following the successful launch of the Nordoff Robbins and Sony Music UK Bursary in January 2021, which saw four recipients take up their places in Manchester and Newcastle in September this year.

The initiative will cover tuition fees for the two year course, and aims to remove financial barriers to the Masters-level programme for musicians who would not otherwise have the opportunity or resources to access it.  Applications are welcomed from musicians of all ages and backgrounds who want to pursue a rewarding career in music by improving the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable people. The closing date for applications is Monday 17th January 2022.

Musicians interested in the Sony Bursary or finding out more about the Master of Music Therapy programme can attend Nordoff Robbins open evenings, which are running through to January.

Open evening dates:

More information on the open evenings, and how to apply along with detailed requirements for the bursary is available on the Nordoff Robbins website or by emailing  ed*******@no*************.uk
