Blume
Launched in March this year, Blume has helped almost 100 charities already and has signed up an army of over 500 freelancers. These ‘Blumers’ cover a vast pool of skills and specialisms, ranging from fundraising and charity finance to leadership and HR support.
What the Blumers have in common, aside from their extensive experience, is a desire for rewarding, flexible work, which suits their lifestyle and utilises their skills and knowledge for the greater good. Many have worked for years in the not for profit sector, often in senior roles, some at CEO level.
When the pandemic began, Blume and the Blumers responded by donating £30k worth of freelance support to 50 charities.
A veteran of the Dot-com boom, Alexander Stevenson has enjoyed a career spanning the public and private sectors. He has also contributed to the voluntary sector over two decades in a variety of Trustee roles for Create Streets Foundation, Fight for Peace, the Young Foundation and Borough Market, as well as being a former CEO for UpRising.
