Four charities’ Christmas appeal TV adverts
Here are the Christmas fundraising appeal TV adverts from 2019.
1. The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army’s Christmas Gift Appeal focuses on a £19 gift, with an option to give via text or phone. Indeed, the text option generates a call back so that the donation can be made.
As well as several examples of individuals who are facing hardship, the advert invites viewers to imagine Christmas without the Salvation Army.

2. WWF-UK
WWF’s new advertising campaign, ‘Adopt a Better Future’, brings to life the global challenges facing wildlife as a result of mass deforestation.
The advert uses stop-motion animation – a first for WWF – to tell the story of a young girl rallying a crowd to protect a threatened wild jaguar as it flees the burning rainforest. With it comes the message that collectively we can, and must, end the destruction of nature worldwide.
The advert follows WWF’s recent campaign for the devastating forest fires in the Amazon, which raised over £1 million from concerned supporters. Charcoal taken from the burnt remains of the Amazon has been used to create the jaguar drawing that features in the young girl’s bedroom during the advert.
The charity has also produced a “behind the scenes” video of how the advertising campaign was put together.
3. British Heart Foundation
“Will you help make a wish come true?”
4. CLIC Sargent
