Melanie May | 22 June 2016 | News

Nominations have opened for this year’s JustGiving Awards.
The JustGiving Awards were launched in 2010 to champion people, charities and teams who have shown noteworthy commitment to fundraising during the previous year.
2015 winners included Caroline Jones, author of Knickers Model’s Own, who sourced a different outfit from Cancer Research UK shops every day for a year and has now raised over £50,000 and Alex Smith, who undertakes epic Iron Man Endurance events carrying his son to raise money and awareness for Harrison’s Fund, which aims to eradicate Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He has so far raised £57,000 for the charity.
Nominations for the 2016 Awards are open to the public and anyone who has used JustGiving to fundraise or crowdfund can be put forward in recognition for their work for good causes. Nominations close on 7th August 2016 and voting on the shortlist takes place in September. Winners will be announced at a dinner held in Central London on 22nd November.
This year’s awards are once again sponsored by PayPal.
