Afternoon Tea Week to promote tea and cake themed fundraising events
Charities are being encouraged to invite their supporters to hold afternoon tea-themed fundraising events during Afternoon Tea Week, which runs from 8th to 14th August 2016.
All fundraising events will receive free advertising through the dedicated Afternoon Tea Week website, which will be launched on 13th July.
Afternoon Tea Week is designed to celebrate one of the nation’s favourite traditions. Each day Britons drink 165 million cups of tea.
Keith Newton, Managing Director of sponsor AfternoonTea.co.uk said:
“We had a tremendous response to Afternoon Tea Week last year, with activities running across the country and #afternoonteaweek trending at number one on Twitter.
“People of all ages love the tradition of afternoon tea and it’s so easy to hold a tea party in aid of your favourite charity”.
