Britain Has Spirit seeks top community volunteers

Melanie May | 18 February 2016 | News

Together Mutual Insurance is inviting people to help their community win £25,000 by nominating volunteers for its Britain Has Spirit awards.
The awards recognise groups and individuals that give their time to help their communities with two categories: Community Group of the Year, and Community Hero of the Year.
The deadline for entries is 26th February.
All nominations will be entered for one of 12 regional finals, each with a chance to win £1,000 towards a street party for all group heroes, or a fun experience day for the individual heroes. Winners of the regional finals will be entered for the grand final with the chance to win one of two £25,000 prizes to put towards local initiatives in their area.
The awards are fronted by Gabby Logan, who said:

“Britain Has Spirit has launched to try and re-evoke a sense of community pride, and to honour those who are tirelessly giving their time and effort to make communities and neighbourhoods better, all year round.”
