SmartGiving redevelopment offers further customisation

Howard Lake | 9 June 2015 | News

Online charity account and fundraising platform SmartGiving has been redeveloped, offering greater customisation of fundraising pages and improved processes.
Charities and individual fundraisers can now fully customise their fundraising page, adding their own text, logos and images. The fundraising page creation process has been simplified, meaning that a page can be created “in less than a minute”. The whole site has been redesigned and redeveloped too.
Launched in 2013, SmartGiving offers charity accounts, payroll giving, matched fundraising services and fundraising tools. It has already handled £8.5 million in donations to UK charities.
The charity promotes its low cost fees, contrasting them with those of other online fundraising sites. It does not charge charities for joining, and does not levy a monthly subscription fee. It charges a 2.5% rate on transactions, half the figure charged by, for example, JustGiving.
It operates a weekly payment run, “ensuring a regular cash inflow for charities”.
Daniel Mitchell of JNF UK said:

“We began fundraising with SmartGiving a few years back. Not only is the 2.5% rate the most generous available – ensuring that more money reaches the charity – the site is really well-designed and easy to use. In my opinion, SmartGiving is by far the best product available on the market.”
