Payroll Giving Quality Mark for 2014 launched

The Institute of Fundraising and the Association of Payroll Giving Organisations are encouraging employers across the UK to apply for the Payroll Giving Quality Mark to recognise their commitment to the tax-effective giving scheme.
According to revised figures from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), more than a million employees donated to charity through a workplace Payroll Giving scheme in 2012/13.

Employers who achieve a certain level of participation in Payroll Giving within their organisation become eligible for Quality Mark certificates:

The Quality Mark is administered by the Institute of Fundraising with applications co-ordinated by Payroll Giving Agencies.
Panikos Efthimiou, Chair of the Association of Payroll Giving Organisations (APGO), said:

“With over 4,000 employers now actively engaged in the Quality Mark system, we hope this year to encourage more employers to follow their lead and display this as a badge of honour to celebrate their employees’ ongoing generosity.”
