Online giving service The Big Give is now offering a trustee finder service for charities. Charities can use the service to upload an advert for a trustee which will appear on both The Big Give and on job site reed.co.uk.

It is free until January 2014.

Adverts are displayed for six weeks. Reed.co.uk has also promoted the new feature to its users.

On The Big Give site, visitors can search for suitable trustee positions and  apply quickly  through the site.

The first two charities to use the new service successfully are the African Mothers Foundation Initiative (AMFI) and St Anne’s Trust have successfully recruited new trustees and are extremely happy with the results. A spokesperson at the African Mothers Foundation Initiative commented that the “Big Give not only helps to raise funds, but also finds good trustees with the skills and knowledge to move the charity forward.”

The new trustee for St Anne’s Trust commented that they had found the process very straightforward, and that they were “amazed to find something on my doorstep”.
