Intuit offers

Howard Lake | 7 November 2013 | News

Intuit, publishers of QuickBooks accounting software, is offering a total of £15,000 to UK small businesses, which can include charities, in an online voting competition.
The company invites small businesses to share online details of a wish that could transform their business. The 10 businesses that secure the most online votes will receive £1,000 each with the overall winner receiving £5,000.
Although the competition uses the phrase ‘small business’, the industry sectors that are listed on the competition entry site include ‘church’ and ‘nonprofit’, together with others that charities and voluntary organisations might well qualify for, such as medical services, retail, arts & entertainment, and educational services.
As with all online voting competitions, organisations need to decide whether it is worth making the effort of mobilising their online supporters to vote for them in relation to the possible reward available.
