How can charities generate income from technology hardware assets?

Reseach is underway to find out how charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations can generate income and deliver impact from their technology hardware assets, such as their telecommunications networks and IT equipment.
The research is being carried out by Our Digital Capital, a network that brings together pioneers and technology specialists to make better use of technology for positive social impact.
The research is being run by Annemarie Naylor from Common Futures, one of the partners of Our Digital Capital. She is inviting comments and thoughts who people in the sector who have already developed enterprising technology assets. The research will look at

The research is intended identify what organisations need help with in this relatively new area of activity, both practically and financially, and what kind of social impact is generated as a result.
