CHASE 2013 to focus on anticipating and managing high risk scenarios

The seminar programme for CHASE 2013, the charity and associations event, will focus on how to anticipate and manage high risk scenarios.

The event, which takes place on 12-13 February at the Business Design Centre, Islington, features a range of free seminars for not-for-profit sector delegates right up to CEO level. All are designed to address "the challenges that keep third sector executives awake at night".

The managing risk sessions include an examination of how to deal with employee theft and fraud (by Julie Mooney, MarkelInsurance), an analysis of the role of executives and trustees during a crisis (Robin Swinbank, The Counsel House), a guide to planning and insuring against litigation (DE Ford), and an insider’s practical tips on running a small charity without losing your sanity (David Marfleet, Giving the Best).

Other sessions at the two-day event cover technology, fundraising, leadership, finance and legal practice. The conference’s lead sponsor ASI Europe will host three seminars focused on web, social media and mobile marketing as well as CRM and CMS systems.

Exhibition Director Michael Webb said: "As we have seen in the wider press crises can and do happen and they can cause enormous fallout. The 2013 seminar schedule is designed to inform and stimulate as it always does – but it will also challenge delegates to leave their comfort zone and examine how well prepared they really are for unexpected risks".
