This is a satirical campaign designed to encourage people and organisations to move beyond the stereotype images of Africa as a land of poverty and need.
The people behind the Radi-Aid campaign argue that “fundraising should not be based on exploiting stereotypes”, and that “aid must be based on real needs, not “good” intentions”.
The video The video was made by The Norwegian Students’ and Academics’ International Assistance Fund with the cooperation of campaign group Operation Day’s Work, and funding from The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and The Norwegian Children and Youth Council (LNU).
