Crowdfunding expert joins Good Innovation

Crowdfunding pioneer Ryan Bromley has joined innovation consultancy Good Innovation to help other charities develop their digital and social media impact.

He joins from Cancer Research UK (CRUK) where he was Online Community Manager. While there he integrated the MyProjects site with the charity’s regionally based community fundraisers, increasing community fundraising n the site by 91%. This year CRUK expects a further 100% increase in income from the site.

Bromley said: “Crowdfunding is still in its infancy and at CRUK, we knew we didn’t have a tried and tested formula to follow. However, we could see the potential existed for significant returns, and by persevering and learning lessons along the way, MyProjects is now delivering both income and new supporters.”
