New Fundraising and Communications Director at RSPB

Beth Thoren has been appointed to the new role of Director of Fundraising and Communications at wildlife conservation charity RSPB. Her appointment will bring the charity’s Marketing and Communications directorates together into a newly created Fundraising and Communications directorate.

Thoren starts at the charity on 21 November. She joins from Digital UK where she is Director of Communications. She devised and led the nationwide communications campaign for the UK’s switchover to digital TV. Before that she was Head of Digital Marketing at the BBC.

She is a passionate marine conservationist, and recently took a sabbatical to join the crew of the campaign ship, Sea Shepherd.
