Charity Times publishes iPad edition

Howard Lake | 4 September 2012 | Blogs

A few months back I was pleased to see that Charity Times had begun publishing an iPad edition, alongside its website and print edition. It works on Android devices as well, and can be read on PCs.
It’s good to see charity sector publishers addressing mobile readers, evidence that charity sector staff, just like other sectors, are keen to read content on the move, or on a variety of devices.
UK Fundraising isn’t as far ahead in this area as it should be, although we did create an iPhone app back in January 2010 which offers some of the core content of the site. We’ve also created an iPad version of our expert advice shop.
I’m well aware that there are various approaches to serving our content on multiple devices, and we’re currently looking at one that could offer a one-size-fits-all solution. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Have you seen any other charity sector titles developing mobile editions, or editions that work across multiple devices? Do let me know in the comments below.
