Nominations for Lidl’s Young Fundraiser of 2012 close this month. One of the Pride of Britain Awards, the award is designed “to recognise the inspiring and selfless determination of young people who make a positive difference”.
Nominations are open to reward a child or teenager, under the age of 16, “who has gone beyond all expectations to raise money, however large or small the amount, for a good cause”.
Last year’s winner was George Major whose ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine Fund’ had by that point raised £20,000 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital after he had been treated there following diagnosis with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Nominations for Lidl’s Young Fundraiser of 2012 can be made online or by visiting your local Lidl store to pick up a nomination form.
The winner will be selected by Pride of Britain’s panel of judges and will receive their award at an awards ceremony, hosted by Carol Vorderman, at the Grosvenor House in London’s Park Lane in October.
The closing date for entries is midnight 31 August 2012.
The Pride of Britain Awards also include a Fundraiser of The Year category, open to those over 16.
