FR&C lists over 200 $1m+ Australian charity donors

Prospect research specialist FR&C has published a list of over 200 Australian donors who have given over $1 million to charity. The list, which includes some non-Australian donors to Australian causes, features both individuals and families.

It is published a year after FR&C put together its first list of 100 Australians known to have given $1m or more to philanthropic causes.

Charlotte Grimshaw of FR&C explained: “We’ve only included people and families whose philanthropy has been mentioned in the public domain – either with a firm figure or with an estimate. We’ve put firm dollars ahead of estimates, even where it’s likely that the estimated figures are underreported.”

The list is divided into sections highlighting giving over $100m, $50m, $10m and $1m. The list includes links to public sources for the information.

FR&C publishes GiftSearch, an online database of Australian donations, in which over 110,000 Australian donations are listed, worth more than $1.275 billion.
