Guess2Give shortlisted for Orange 'Different Business' award

Howard Lake | 21 June 2012 | News

Online fundraising service Guess2Give has been shortlisted for the Orange ‘Different Business’ award. The national competition aims to uncover the UK’s most exciting small business ideas and the winner receives a package of support worth up to £200,000.
Guess2Give is one of ten finalists selected from nearly 150 entrants, and the only representative from the fundraising sector. The site lets people set up a sweepstake on any event or occasion, with friends or colleagues paying £3 to guess the result. 50p from every guess goes into the prize fund, and charities receive a minimum of £2.01 on all payments made with Gift Aid. Over 75 charities have already signed up to Guess2Give.
The public can now vote for their favourite business. Voting closes on 28 June.
Mark Chandler, Founder and CEO of Guess2Give said: “It is fantastic to be recognised by Orange and we hope that our supporters vote for us so we win. Either way, we’ll continue to help people raise lots of money in a way they’ve never been able to for the 75 charities already signed up to us. Orange funding would allow us to grow even faster, which would benefit so many more.’
