Recent announcements of charity of the year partnerships include:
Lloyds Banking Group
Lloyds Banking Group has announced it will extend its charity partnership with Save the Children until the end of June 2012. The Charity of the Year partnership was originally due to end in December 2011. Last year it raised over £1.4 million. With an extra six months, it is now expected that the partnership will raise a total of £1.75 million. All of the money raised by Lloyds is supporting Save the Children’s work in the UK.
Chris Murdoch, Nauticalia’s Managing Director, said: “In previous years, Nauticalia customers have generously helped raise more than £85,000 for a variety of nautical charities including the RNLI, HMS Victory, Cutty Sark, Dunkirk Little Ships Restoration Trust. One of our aims is to help foster Britain’s maritime heritage, so this year we are delighted to support the good work undertaken by The Sailor’s Society to assist seafarers who often spend months away from their homes and families working in difficult conditions.”
