Women's Fund in Ireland opens for applications

Howard Lake | 22 December 2011 | News

The Women’s Fund for Ireland has opened for its third round of applications. It promotes change in Irish communities “by supporting the most innovative and positive solutions to the issues facing women in Ireland today”.
The Fund has two main focus areas:
* measures aimed at preventing violence against women, and
* measures empowering women to take leadership roles.
The Fund’s longer term goal is to encourage philanthropy among women, improve the lives of women through social change grantmaking, and educate the entire community about the benefits to society when the potential of women is realised. These areas will be reviewed and perhaps expanded as the Fund grows.
For this grant round up to €5,000 is available for specific projects which are not part of an organisation’s core work.
The next closing date is 27 January 2012.
