Charities Aid Foundation has added the facility to give via PayPal to its online fundraising platform and its individual giving accounts.
CAF Trust and CAF Charity Account holders can now add funds directly into their charitable accounts from their PayPal accounts. In addition, anyone donating online via CAF to over 170,000 charities can do so via PayPal, meaning that they can give funds that they have accrued in their PayPal accounts.
Ritu Singh, Product Manager at CAF, said: “There are over 26 million PayPal accounts in the UK and this makes it easier for money in these accounts to be used for charitable purposes.”
Cameron McLean General Manager at PayPal UK said, “We’re delighted that the Charities Aid Foundation has added PayPal to their donation platforms. This will mean PayPal users can easily and securely support thousands of charities and, where possible, boost their donations through Gift Aid.“
CAF has already added PayPal functionality to its online Fundraising Support Service. This enables charities who manage their online donations through CAF to accept donations from PayPal accounts.
