I CAN's Chatterbox Challenge breaks Guinness World Record

Howard Lake | 21 July 2011 | News

Children’s communication charity I CAN now holds the Guinness World Record™ for the ‘Largest game of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in multiple venues’. It broke the record on 1 March with its Chatterbox Challenge event which involved thousands of children and adults across the UK, and which raised £95,000, twice as much as the previous year. It beat the previous record of 1,461 in a single venue with its 4,727 participants.
The Chatterbox Challenge is I CAN’s annual educational activity for nurseries, pre-schools and children’s groups. It gives children the opportunity to learn rhymes and songs to develop their communication skills, whilst raising funds for the 1.2 million children in the UK who have speech, language and communication difficulties.
Openreach has sponsored Chatterbox Challenge for the past four years as part of its ‘First Mile’ programme, covering the cost of the event.
