Major Donor Special Interest Group offers six bursaries for 2011

The Major Donor Special Interest Group (MDSIG) of the Institute of Fundraising is offering six bursaries this year covering the National Fundraising Convention, training and professional development, and prospect research training.

Institute of Fundraising National Convention

The group is offering three bursaries to attend all three days of the Institute of Fundraising National Convention (4-6 July 2011). If your organisation is unable to pay for your travel, you can also claim travel up to the value of £200. Two of these are available only to MDSIG members and the third is for a fundraising from a small charitable organisation with a turnover of under £5 million (or a turnover of more than £5 million but voluntary income of under £1 million).
Winners will be expected to attend a small drinks reception hosted by MDSIG Committee during the Convention. They will also be encouraged to blog/ tweet about their experiences at the Convention.

Training and professional development

The SIG is offering a bursary of up to £1,000 (plus up to £200 for travel) to pay for a member of the group to undertake any training or professional development course.

Prospect Research Training

The bursary will pay for two members of the group to attend Milestone Research’s day long prospect research training workshops, worth £120 plus VAT, per person. If your organisation is unable to pay for your travel, you can also claim travel up to the value of £100.
Applicants for any of the bursaries must fill in an application form and submit it via email only to ha***************@pr*************.uk by 9am on 1 June 2011.
