$1.5m Hilton Humanitarian Prize opens to charities worldwide

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is seeking nominations for its 2012 Hilton Humanitarian Prize. The world’s largest humanitarian prize award of $1.5 million is presented annually to an organisation anywhere in the world “doing extraordinary work to alleviate human suffering”.
Nominations for the 2012 Prize opened today and end on 29 April 2011. For the first time, nominations will be accepted exclusively online.
Nominations should be made using the foundation’s form, available on its website, complete it and then upload it.
Previous recipients include BRAC (Bangladesh), Tostan (Senegal), and St Christopher’s Hospice (UK).
