Much as I have enjoyed the Wikileaks revelations, they are essentially diplomatic tittle-tattle and have rarely provided us with new revelations or insights that really changed our perceptions of the world; but haven’t they talen up an extraordinary amount of newsprint and bytes, when our fundraising appeals detailing the most appalling fates people suffer, and what’s more providing credible solutions, gain nary a column inch or tweet.
