The final series of Channel 4’s ‘Big Brother’ has generated over £180,000 in donations to three charities. After Adoption, has received over £60,000 from Big Brother 11, as has Kith and Kids and Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.
The charities each received £60,498 generated by the public telephone votes for Big Brother 11, with 15p of every call divided between the good causes.
Lynn Charlton, Chief Executive of After Adoption, said: “To have raised such a large total is just fantastic. With only two weeks to go until National Adoption Week, we are working hard to raise public awareness of the number of children in the care system in need of families of their own. This money will be committed to finding families for the most vulnerable children”.
