SPAR and NSPCC launch 'Stop 4 Tea'

Howard Lake | 27 April 2010 | News

Convenience store company SPAR is continuing its four year support for NSPCC by supporting its ‘Stop 4 Tea’ fundraising campaign. For a small donation, customers can ‘Stop 4 Tea’ and enjoy their brew whilst browsing special offers aisles in their local SPAR store.
Since the partnership began in 2006, fundraising activities have included donations from products, Easter and Christmas parties and staff fundraising. Geoff Hallam, Managing Director of Tates Limited, a company which owns and operates over 200 SPAR stores in England and North Wales, ran the 2010 London Marathon, raising thousands of pounds for the charity.
‘Stop 4 Tea’ parties will be taking place at Tates SPAR stores across North Wales, the Midlands and Eastern England over the first May Bank Holiday weekend (01 – 03 May). There are over 2,600 SPAR stores serving 12 million customers each week in the UK.
The two organisations hope that the new campaign will take the partnership’s fundraising total beyond £2 million by the end of May.
