Yorkshire Building Society to raise £100,000 for British Heart Foundation

Howard Lake | 2 November 2009 | News

The Yorkshire Building Society is aiming to raise £100,000 for the British Heart Foundation in the company’s annual national fundraising appeal which runs in November and December.

Staff will be getting involved and Society customers will also be encouraged to support the appeal by buying cuddly Christmas decorations and reindeer food at their local branch and making a suggested donation.

The Yorkshire Building Society‘s staff and customers will also receive support and information from BHF about how to look after their own heart health and the charity’s Heart Health Roadshow will be visiting the Society’s head office in Bradford in November.

The BHF was selected from a shortlist after a survey showed staff were in favour of supporting an organisation working in the health field that did not distinguish between age range or sectors of the community.
