New staff at UNICEF's media team

Elizabeth Jones has joined the Media Relations Team at UNICEF UK as Media Officer for Fundraising, having worked previously at NSPCC. Gemma Parkin has also joined the team as Assistant Media Officer for Fundraising, having worked previously at Comic Relief.
The appointments are part of an expansion of the charity’s Media Relations Team in the run up to 20 November 2009, which marks the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Head of Media, Lara Schlotterbeck has joined UNICEF Geneva’s Corporate Communications Team on secondment for one year.

Sarah Epstein, previously Senior Media Officer, has replaced Schlotterbeck as Head of Media at UNICEF UK until April 2010. With a wealth of experience in Campaigns and Emergencies, she will lead the team with a greater focus on Children’s Rights during 2009 and 2010, with a year-end campaign to mark the landmark UNCRC anniversary.
