Two charities capitalise on MPs expenses scandal
Two charities have cleverly used the current extensive coverage of MPs’ expenses to get their message out.
Working with Open Fundraising, homelessness charity Centrepoint published a full-page advertisement on Saturday in The Telegraph to point out that "all our expenses are essential", detailing how the charity spends its money.

Last week, ScotsCare published an advert highlighting the availability of charity re-training grants, featuring Glaswegian Speaker Michael Martin on the day he announced his historic resignation.
These are both fine examples of creative, timely and humorous advertising by charities who were able to spot and act on a topical news item rapidly.
