Charity Pulse survey open for your views

Howard Lake | 15 April 2009 | News

Charity Pulse is an annual voluntary sector-wide staff satisfaction survey open to anyone working fora charity. It aims to build up a picture of working life in charities and help to raise the standard of people management in the sector.
The survey asks people to give their views on how they feel about their jobs including work/life balance, the quality of internal communications in their organisation, the effectiveness of their management and their views on development and reward.
After analysis of the previous year’s feedback, new themes are added annually. This year the survey is particularly interested in any impact the recession may have on the morale and work/life balance of people working for charities.
The survey is run by Birdsong Charity Consulting and Third Sector magazine.
Charities can also get cost-effective benchmarked staff satisfaction data from the survey. If they promote the survey to staff, Birdsong will provide a benchmarked report that compares that charity’s staff responses with the sector as a whole. Details by emailing Frances Hurst at

The survey only takes around 10 minutes and is available online at www.bird-song.co.uk/charitypulse.html
