Did your Christmas appeal in 2006 perform inexplicably badly? Is your charity based in Aberdeen or the North East of England? If so, we might just have the answer.
According to the Press Association, the Royal Mail has uncovered 4,000 letters that have been left and forgotten about since last Christmas. The items, all first-class, have spent the year at the Aberdeen Mail Centre.
It has taken workers five days to sort through all the items, which are being delivered now. So, your bad 2006 Christmas appeal could just turn into a surprisingly good 2007 Christmas appeal.
