Fitness First, the health and fitness group, has teamed up with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to organise fundraising and awareness events.

Throughout the partnership, Fitness First members will benefit from first class health information from the BHF through promotion of its campaigns and free magazine ‘Heart Health’, and will have the opportunity to get involved in a number of fundraising events throughout the year. This will mean members will not only be more aware of the BHF but they’ll also be able to raise both their own fitness levels as well as vital funds for the charity.

Each of the 172 Fitness First clubs in the UK will work closely with the heart charity in organising fundraising and campaign awareness events ensuring that each club raises its individual target for every year of the three year partnership.

To mark the celebration of the new partnership, Fitness First teams will be taking part in the BHF’s regional Hearts First ‘Santa Jogs’ during December. The courses vary from 2km – 4km and runners are encouraged to don Santa suits, which are provided as part of the £10 entry fee. Fitness First clubs not located near a BHF jog will be encouraged to organise their own in-club Santa Jogs.
