Oxfam gives supporters a preview of its Oxfam Unwrapped TV ad

Oxfam has given its supporters a preview of its new Oxfam Unwrapped TV ad. “As a valued Oxfam Unwrapped shopper, we’re giving you the exclusive chance to view the ad before its first airing on TV on 7 November”, Oxfam told supporters recently. They were given a link to the charity’s website where they could view the advert in full. They are even promised a video of out-takes, presumably amusing, in a few weeks’ time.

The video, which encourages people to “give a decent present from OxfamUnwrapped.com” features Helena Bonham-Carter, Will Young, Rob Brydon, and Helen Mirren, and offers a parody of fundraising TV ads.
The facility not only to share videos but also, should they wish, seek feedback on them from supporters before they air and therefore perhaps improve them is another powerful online opportunity for charities.
