EAPG organising Dublin events
The European Association for Planning Giving is running two events in Dublin in October. On 3rd October leading law firm, Matheson Ormsby Prentice, will host an EAPG roundtable on the new charities bill and charitable trusts and the following day there will be a seminar on databases and data protection.
The round table will take place from 5:15pm to 6:30pm at MOP’s offices at 70 Sir Rogerson Quay, Dublin 2 and will be led by John Gill, MOP, and Ruth A. Matz, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. As well as the topic ‘The New Charities Bill: Charities Regulator,’ there will be a discussion how the disbursements of trusts are handled and how a charity can locate these trusts to apply for funding.
The Databases and Data Protection seminar will place on Thursday 4th October from 10:00am – 12:30 pm. The host and venue is Thea Gilien Boston College Centre for Irish Programmes 42 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2.

Workshop leaders will be Bill Moss, of the Bill Moss Partnership and Claire Quinn, TP Robinson (Solicitors).
Topics coverd will include Data Capture: What do you need to tell the data subject,? Direct Marketing and Data Protection and Disclosing. The fee is ‚€85 for EAPG members and ‚€95 for non members. To reserve a place at this meeting you can download a copy of the booking form at the EAPG’s website.
