Employees and customers of home improvement retailer Homebase have raised £550,000 in the first year of the company’s first ever two year charity partnership.

The ‘No Place Like Home’ campaign target of £500,000 was reached within a year, with staff at 300 Homebase stores getting involved in fundraising events such as quizzes, dress-down days, and charity cricket matches.

Homebase customers have boosted the total by buying £17,000 worth of Marie Curie Cancer Care trolley keyrings. They also raised £8,000 through buying potted Tete a Tete daffodils.
