And the first 2007 charity Christmas card catalogue to arrive this year comes from… East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH). It arrived this morning.
Maybe August is reasonable, although the contrast with summer holidays does jar. Still, at least the charity’s retail manager acknowledges this in a covering letter, and justifies the early arrival. Carolyn Emblen tells supporters: "I know that Christmas seems a long way away but many of our supporters do like to buy their cards early, which is why we send our flyers out in July".
She adds: "Last year we had orders of £5,000 during the week after our mailing."

So, take heart and get your Christmas card catalogues out in high summer.
