Tenders invited for measuring a thriving local third sector
The Office of the Third Sector is seeking tenders to produce feasibility and development work to recommend indicators and measures of a thriving local third sector, and of the quality of funding relationships and consultation between the sector and local statutory bodies.
The Office of the Third Sector says that the two-phase study work will address both the choice of suitable indicators and measures, and the proposed methodology for measuring these, and contain specific proposals relating to the design of a bespoke survey of third sector organisations.
Given the nature of the brief, the Office of the Third Sector expects that the successful tenderer will be a multidisciplinary research team, with expertise in the following areas:

* the third sector
* local government performance
* question development and testing
* sampling and survey design, and analysis of quantitative survey data
* the ability to work as a team and with an advisory group and other stakeholders
The deadline for proposals is midday on 30 July 2007, and tender interviews will take place on 3 August.
