Getting Started with TikTok: An Introduction to Fundraising & Supporter Engagement

Gift Aid blog launched

Staff at Blackbaud Europe have launched the Gift Aid blog, designed to help charities learn about, discuss and share best practice in all elements of securing and processing Gift Aid donations. The blog is designed to be an open forum for the charity sector, and not just a Blackbaud tool.

The Gift Aid Blog has been launched in the wake of the Chancellor’s announcement of a reduction in the rate of income tax, which means a reduction in the value of Gift Aided donations to charities.

Managing Director Martin Jervis posted an introduction to the blog, lamenting the impact of the Chancellor’s decision: “I think its time to fight back”, he wrote. “Let’s use this blog to share ideas on how to maximise Gift Aid claims and to secure the claims that are made such that HMRC Audits can safely be passed and these hard earned donations can be maximised in terms of fundraising effectiveness. Lets use it to lobby, to argue, to think creatively and to make a real difference.”

Blackbaud hope that the blog will be used by all those with an interest in Gift Aid, not just fundraisers, and welcome comments to posts.
