Justgiving creates YouTube page for fundraising videos

Online fundraising site Justgiving.com has set up a page on video sharing website YouTube to feature videos by some of the fundraisers using its services and other fundraising-related videos it comes across.

The first video shown on the page features Justgiving staff member Foluke running in Cancer Research UK’s 5k Race for Life.

The company has also added a few other fundraising videos which its staff have come across and think are either powerful, amusing or unusual enough to deserve a wider audience. One of these was a music video by Sarah McLachlan of her song “World On Fire” with a powerful message of how far donations can go:

Justgiving’s blog explained that “we really believe this is the future for getting accross [sic] your message wherever you are in the world,” so it is encouraging its users to start creating and posting video messages to persuade even more people to donate.
