Dialog Group International restructures

Howard Lake | 23 February 2007 | News

Fundraising agency the Dialog Group International has restructured its operations in the UK due to serious financial problems. Five of its subsidiary companies went into voluntary administration last week but will all continue to operate after they were purchased by a subsidary company, Dialog Group Operations, set up by the group.

The five companies will continue to operate under the same names. They are DialogueDirect Fundraising UK, Face2Face Fundraising UK (neither of which should be confused with Fundraising UK Ltd, the company that runs the UK Fundraising website), Integrity Recruitment, Dialog Services, and NTT Fundraising.

Professional Fundraising magazine reported that a company statement explained: “There was a financial and organisational burden to existing UK companies as a result of their continuous self-funding of new companies, particularly overseas organisations, rather than focusing this income on our core business here in the UK.

“Timely action now means the new organisation can take advantage of far better economies of scale and make it – and its brands – far more efficient and cost-effective internally and externally.”

The five companies employ 350 staff between them but no redundancies are planned, according to Professional Fundraising magazine.
