Institute's Legacy Fundraising conference to be held in December

The Institute of Fundraising will be holding its next annual Legacy Fundraising conference at the Royal Geographical Society, London on 7 December 2006.

The one-day event will look at how to measure the effect of a charity’s legacy marketing, how to carry out legacy forecasting, and the benefits of maintaining clear channels of communication between administrators and marketers. It will also feature best practice case studies from both major and smaller local charities.

Presentations scheduled include those from Heartfelt Campaign, Macmillan Cancer Support, Sue Ryder Care, Freestyle Marketing Ltd, St Gemma’s Hospice, and Christie’s Hospital NHS Trust.

In the opening plenary Leslie Sopp, Age Concern’s Head of Research will examine the baby boomer generation, identifying key trends and spending patterns.
