Salaries and Bonuses

Howard Lake | 13 October 2006 | Blogs

I see that top London law firm Allen & Overy is reviewing the salaries of its associates. Apparently they are planning to link the pay of associates to the package previously reserved for partners. Associates are often young lawyers on the way to becoming partners. Last year, partners at the firm recived a bonus of approximately £20,000 plus. It would appear that the firm is concerned about the brain drain that sees young lawyers moving to merchant banks.
Are other firms adopting the same approach?
