Charles Handy to address major donor conference
Charles Handy, the reknowned author and thinker on management, will be speaking at this year’s ‘Raising funds from the Rich’, the annual conference from Action Planning on how to secure high net worth individuals as major donors.
Charles Handy has interviewed 23 of the new wave of self-made philanthropists about their interests and motivations for his forthcoming book “The New Philanthropists” and will discuss the challenge that this new class of potential donors poses for charities seeking their support.
This event has been organised by Action Planning’s major donor fundraising team with ACEVO, Coutts & Co and Third Sector to help more organisations benefit from the extraordinary recent growth in giving by the wealthy. Institute of Fundraising research indicates that charities’ income from major donor fundraising has almost trebled over the past year.
