The Fundraising Standards Board (FSB) has appointed of Kate Higgins as Scotland and Northern Ireland Manager of the new self-regulatory scheme for fundraising. Kate Higgins will promote the FSB to all stakeholders in Scotland and Northern Ireland, particularly to fundraising organisations and the general public. She will also co-ordinate and implement all FSB activity and functions in these countries.

Kate was previously Head of Campaigns and Communications at Capability Scotland for six years and has a track record in public affairs in Scotland.
I am excited about the challenges my new role will bring. It is vital that the FSB incorporates all parts of the UK and my role is to make sure this happens in Scotland and Northern Ireland,” she said.

Scottish and Northern Irish fundraising organisations need a direct route to the FSB. Members of the public in Scotland and Northern Ireland need to know they have a channel for complaints and that they can give to their favourite charity with confidence,” she added.
